Parents Awareness Evening |
||
Adur & Worthing PoliceA Reminder! To all parents & carers of secondary school children in Adur, Worthing, and parents of year 6. Letters of the upcoming Parents Awareness Evenings would have already been published through your school to sign up and come along, Please come and meet the Sussex Police, Adur, and Worthing Neighbourhood Youth team. Find out how they and other Adur and Worthing partners and agencies support schools, and young people in your community. The two Parents Awareness Evenings, (which will both be the same) will cover key topics such as knife crime, anti-social behaviour and exploitation as well as showing what support is available locally for children and young people. We work closely with partners to tackle this type of behaviour, identify those responsible, and manage persistent offenders and locations. There will be a chance for you to speak with professionals from various agencies at the end of the evening. If you would like attend one of the following sessions, please email the team at safer.communities@adur-worthing.gov.uk. with your date preference • Wednesday 15th October @ St Oscar Romero, 6pm-7.30pm • Monday 17th November @ Sir Robert Woodard Academy, 6pm-7.30pm Please note that places are limited, there is on-street parking available in the residential roads surrounding both schools, and there are good public transport links too. Both sites are wheelchair accessible, the event is for parents/carers of high school aged children; however, we understand that childcare arrangements may not be possible so children are allowed to attend if other arrangements cannot be made (maximum four spaces per person). We really look forward to seeing you there, but if you have any questions in the meantime, please contact safer.communities@adur-worthing.gov.uk.
